International Judo Federation President Marius Vizer presented Jensen Huang, founder and chief executive of NVIDIA, with an IJF honorary black belt in Astana on 24 October.

Timur Kemell, IJF Director of Promotion and Development and a member of the IJF Executive Committee, presented Huang with the Code of Judo and its eight values: courtesy, courage, honesty, honour, modesty, respect, self-control and friendship.

The federation said the recognition reflected values shared with judo and Huang's contribution to technology and innovation. The visit followed the Baku World Championships and was also tied to preparations for the 2027 World Championships in Astana.

The belt is honorary. It is not a competitive dan grade and was not awarded through an examination.
