Day three of judo at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, 2 October, decided the men's -90 kg, -100 kg and +100 kg and the women's -78 kg and +78 kg categories, and Japan added three golds, one silver and one bronze. The individual events close with Japan on 8 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze, top of the individual medal table.
Japan's results
Men's -90 kg: Okada Riku took gold, beating Sherov Erlan of Kyrgyzstan in the final.
Men's -100 kg: Masuchi Ryotaro took gold, beating Madzhidov Dzhakhongir of Tajikistan in the final.
Men's +100 kg: Ota Hyoga took silver, losing the final to Turoboyev Muzaffarbek of Uzbekistan.
Women's -78 kg: Sugimura Mizuki took gold, beating Kim Minju of Korea in the final.
Women's +78 kg: Mukunoki Miki took bronze; Niu Xinran of China won the title and Lee Hyeonji of Korea took silver.
The individual events
Hong Kong, China's six judoka finished their individual events on the first two days, with Wong Ka Lee (women's -48 kg) and Lee Kwok Wing (men's -81 kg) both seventh. The mixed team event is on 3 October.
