The All Japan Judo Federation has announced Japan's team for the 2026 Lausanne Grand Slam, which will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 28 to 30 August. The selection includes 14 athletes, with nine women and five men.

Japan has entered women across all seven weight categories, with two athletes selected at under-48 kg and under-78 kg. The men's entries are concentrated at under-60 kg, under-66 kg, under-100 kg and over-100 kg, with two athletes listed in the under-66 kg category.

The opening day will feature men's under-60 kg and under-66 kg, together with women's under-48 kg, under-52 kg and under-57 kg. The second day covers men's under-73 kg and under-81 kg, as well as women's under-63 kg and under-70 kg. The final day includes the remaining heavier categories.

The federation notes that the athletes are being entered through their affiliated organisations. The final competition list should therefore be checked against the International Judo Federation entry page before publication.
