Lausanne 2026 is set to make World Judo Tour history. For the first time, judoka with disabilities will compete at a Grand Slam alongside World Judo Tour athletes, sharing the same stage and the same values of respect and mutual growth that define judo.
Fifty-six Level 1 and Level 2 athletes from 13 nations are registered to compete in Lausanne. Before competition begins, all athletes will take part in a mandatory divisioning process on 27 August, conducted by official EJU Adapted Judo experts, followed by the draw later that day.
Competition takes place on 28 August at the Vaudoise Aréna, where Level 1 and Level 2 athletes will compete across the official women's and men's weight categories under the structured competition system and dedicated rules of the EJU's five-level divisioning model.
The event is the result of cooperation between the International Judo Federation, the European Judo Union and the Swiss Judo Federation, whose work as the local organising committee has been instrumental in bringing this historic first to the Olympic Capital.
