Hong Kong, China completed the Asian Cadet Cup 2026 at home with two bronze medals and two seventh-place results. The event was held on 18 July and brought together 120 competitors from 13 countries and regions.

YIP Pak Yin won bronze in the men’s -50 kg category, while KWAN Chui Yi took bronze in the women’s -63 kg category. LIN Hau finished seventh in the men’s -66 kg category and TSE Tsz Wai placed seventh in the women’s -48 kg category.

For young judoka, a home Asian Cup offers more than a result sheet. It provides a rare chance to test their preparation against regional opponents without the travel burden, while giving local supporters a direct view of the next generation.
