The men's -81 kg category took the mats at the 2026 Baku World Judo Championships on 7 October, and Hong Kong, China's Lee Kwok Wing went out in the round of 64, completing the territory's individual events.
The round of 64 against SIM Jaeyun
Lee met Korea's SIM Jaeyun in the round of 64 on mat 1 and was beaten by ippon after 3:38, with one shido against him.
SIM went on to lose the round of 32 to Murodjon YULDOSHEV of Uzbekistan, 0-1.
Hong Kong, China's tournament
Women's -48 kg: Wong Ka Lee drew an opening-round bye and then met Marina VOROBEVA of Russia in her first contest, going out; Ho Lok Yi met Japan's KOGA Wakana first, and KOGA went on to take the world title in the category.
Women's -52 kg: Tsui Shuk Ki met Reka PUPP of Hungary in her opening contest and went out.
Lee Kwok Wing and Wong Ka Lee had both finished seventh at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, at -81 kg and -48 kg respectively.

In the semi-finals Azerbaijan's TCKAEV Zelim beat ZHUBANAZAR Abylaikhan of Kazakhstan with two waza-ari and Georgia's GRIGALASHVILI Tato beat SIMIN Mihajlo of Serbia by ippon, and in the bronze-medal contests RAJABLI Omar of Azerbaijan threw ZHUBANAZAR Abylaikhan of Kazakhstan for ippon in 3:22 while SIMIN Mihajlo of Serbia beat LEE Joonhwan of Korea on waza-ari and yuko in 4:00. In the final GRIGALASHVILI Tato of Georgia beat TCKAEV Zelim of Azerbaijan by waza-ari after 9:53, with 5:53 of it in golden score.
The event
The world championships are being held in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the individual events from 4 to 10 October and the mixed team event on 11 October. As of 7 October the International Judo Federation's event page lists 93 countries and regions and 622 judoka.
