The National Day Cup Judo Championship 2026 will take place on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at Tsuen King Circuit Sports Centre in Tsuen Wan. Organised by Great Eastern Judo Union Limited, the local championship will feature divisions for children, teenagers and adults, with eligible competitors starting from four years of age.
The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with competition beginning at 10:00 a.m. Each contest lasts two minutes, excluding Golden Score. Competitors must hold Judo 5th Kyu (Yellow Belt) or above, with divisions set by year of birth, gender and body weight.
The youngest division is a mixed category for athletes aged 4-6, with separate boys' and girls' divisions from ages 7-9 and 10-12, followed by divisions for athletes aged 13-16 and adult categories for those aged 17 and above. The heaviest categories carry upper weight limits and are not openweight divisions.
The championship uses a single-knockout system, and a category with fewer than two competitors will be cancelled. For safety, competitors in the mixed group and Groups A to D may not use sutemi-waza, shime-waza or kansetsu-waza; Groups E and F may use sutemi-waza while strangles and joint locks remain prohibited.
Medals go to the champion, runner-up and two third-place finishers in each category, with overall team awards and a souvenir for all registered athletes. The entry fee is HK$100 per competitor. Individual entries are not accepted; applications must go through a club or team. Athletes under 18 require a parent's or guardian's signature.
Entry deadline: Monday, 7 September 2026. Late entries will not be accepted. Competitors and clubs should refer to the organiser's latest regulations for final arrangements.
