The 98th Kinshuki High School Judo Tournament concluded on 24 July, with Taisei High School and Hieizan High School winning their first titles in the men’s and women’s divisions respectively.
Men’s division
- Champion: Taisei High School
- Runner-up: Shūtoku High School
- Third: Tokai University Sagami High School and Ōmuta High School
- Most Valuable Player: Seiya Yoshida
Taisei High School claimed the first Kinshuki men’s title in its history.
Women’s division
- Champion: Hieizan High School
- Runner-up: Saga Commercial High School
- Third: Keiai High School and Sōshi Gakuen High School
- Most Valuable Player: Nanami Morita
Hieizan High School also won its first Kinshuki women’s title.
Kinshuki is one of Japan’s major high school team judo tournaments, where squad depth and the ability to keep competing through successive matches are central to the result. This year’s finals marked a notable milestone for two first-time champions.
