Ten years, two serious knee injuries and countless moments of pain. Judo did not make the journey easy, but it kept opening the road forward. This time, that road has reached another milestone: a judo journey toward the Olympic stage.
Judo tests more than fitness and technique. It also asks whether a person can keep moving through injury, frustration and long years of training. From the dojo to the international arena, the experience shows another side of judo as a martial way: it can break the body, but it can also forge the spirit.
Working as a team physiotherapist, he travelled with Kuma through Australia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Tokyo, taking part in international judo events up close. When judo extends from one dojo to cities around the world, what stands out is not only the contest itself, but also the scale, organisation and unity of the global judo community.
To contribute professionally to the judo world and witness its spirit on the international stage is a meaningful chapter for Hong Kong judo. This is not only a personal martial arts journey, but also one more connection between Hong Kong judo and the wider world.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey. Destroy the body, forge the soul.
