Hong Kong judoka Ka Lee Wong won bronze in the women’s -48 kg category at the Taipei Asian Open 2026, securing Hong Kong’s only medal of the competition. The team also recorded two fifth-place finishes and one seventh-place result, placing ninth in the final nations standings.
Seo Yun Park of the Republic of Korea won the category, with home athlete Yi-Chun Shen taking silver. Ayana Duisenbay of Kazakhstan and Wong claimed the two bronze medals. The result gave Wong another international podium following her silver medal at the Mandurah Oceania Open in May.
Lok Yi Ho also competed in the women’s -48 kg category and finished fifth. Shuk Ki Tsui placed fifth in the women’s -52 kg division, while Nok Lam Yeung finished seventh at -57 kg.
The Republic of Korea topped the medal table with seven gold, five silver and ten bronze medals. Japan finished second with four gold, one silver and two bronze medals, while Kazakhstan placed third. Hong Kong ranked ninth with one bronze, two fifth places and one seventh place.
