Australian judoka Aoife COUGHLAN has reached No.1 in the IJF Senior Women -70kg World Ranking, marking an important milestone for Australian judo on the international stage.

According to the IJF World Ranking List version dated 22 June 2026, COUGHLAN is listed as No.1 in the Senior Women -70kg category with 5034 points. The ranking reflects her consistent performances across the IJF World Tour and continental events.

COUGHLAN’s recent results include gold at the 2026 Oceania Senior Championships, silver at the 2026 Tbilisi Grand Slam, silver at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, and gold at the 2025 Gold Coast Oceania Open. She also finished 5th at the 2025 World Judo Championships, one of Australia’s best senior world championship results since 2003.
