The 2026 IJF Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam ran from 19 to 21 June in Mongolia. The final day featured men's -90kg, -100kg and +100kg, together with women's -78kg and +78kg.

IJF reporting highlighted Sanshiro Murao's controlled -90kg campaign, built on pressure, timing and mature contest management, as he collected his ninth Grand Slam gold medal.

For Hong Kong judo readers, the key points are the continuing strength of the -90kg category and the speed at which Japan is testing athletes on the World Tour.
