The International Judo Federation has announced that Georgia will host the 2029 World Judo Championships. Georgia is one of the sport's most passionate judo nations, with a deep competition culture and a long record of world-class athletes.

The World Championships are the highest judo stage outside the Olympic Games, and the 2029 host decision further recognises the strength of judo across the Caucasus.
